Homemade Face Masks

My favorite masks are definitely homemade ones. I love that I know exactly whats in them! Also it saves me a lot of money! So its a win, win.

1. Plain Honey

2 teaspoon honey

Honey is one of my favorite ingredients for a face mask. It is great at getting rid of acne! Honey is an antiseptic which prevents the growth of disease causing organisms, like the bacteria in your pores. Honey also releases low levels of hydrogen peroxide that disinfects your skin! If you have a pesky pimple you can dab a little honey on it, place a bandaid on top and leave overnight. Or you can cover your whole face in honey and leave for about 20 minutes and wash off!

2. Honey and Baking Soda

1 teaspoon honey

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

So if you want a more exfoliating mask you can add baking soda to the honey and use it as an exfoliant. I’ve been doing this a lot lately and my skin feels so smooth! I really recommend this one.

Dry Skin

1. Avocado and Honey

1/2 ripe avocado

2 tablespoons honey

1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

If you are suffering from dry skin this mask is definately for you! The honey will help kill any acne causing bacteria and the avocado and honey will help with moisturizing!
2. Bananas

Medium sized ripe banana

Mash up banana and apply paste to your face. Let sit for 10 minutes gen rinse with cold water. You can also add honey and yogurt for added benefits!

Let me know if you try these out and which is your favorite!
